Kinsa In The Community: Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House Charities Eastern Wisconsin (RMH) is Milwaukee, WI’s ‘home away from home’ for families while their children are receiving medical treatment at local hospitals. Kinsa Group recently volunteered for the ‘Family Meal Program’.  This program allows families to enjoy a meal after spending the day with their child at the hospital. Kinsa staff shopped for ingredients, prepared and served dinner for 70 guest families.

According to RMH, the most commonly served meals are lasagna, tacos, pasta, chicken noodle soup and macaroni and cheese. As professionals in the food and beverage industry, Kinsa Group knew that fare would not pass muster. Instead, they prepared a delicious main entree whose star ingredient was mustard (pardon me, do you have any Grey Poupon?).

Kinsa Account Manager Rob Navarro once owned and managed a restaurant so naturally he was appointed to manage the kitchen at RMH. The menu included honey dijon baked chicken, baked potatoes with sour cream and butter, green bean casserole, garden salad, cole slaw and dinner rolls.

Participating in this community involvement initiative was especially close to Senior Recruiting Consultant Lisa Powers heart. She was once a guest at the RMH and thankful to return and pay it forward.
