Kinsa’s goal is to make recruiting the best food & beverage professionals simpler and more effective for you.

Even when your recruiting needs are immediate, specific, or complex, we provide expertise and resources in all parts of the recruiting cycle to help you find your ideal candidate.

The following case study demonstrates the speed and quality of our recruiting efforts for a rapidly growing, deli meat importer:

Client Profile:

With current operations in Toano, VA, Maestri d’Italia is a four-person startup food & beverage organization that imports European deli meats. They recently made the decision to build a new plant in New Jersey to be closer to customers, and plan to break ground in late spring 2018. Consequently, they needed to quickly hire a seasoned professional to manage daily operations for their new location.

Recruiting Challenges:

Two factors made this search particularly challenging:

  • Their first candidate backed out. Our client’s president, Athos Maestri, initially contacted us on 10/31/17 because the candidate he recruited and made an offer to wound up accepting another job offer.
  • Time and recruiting resources were in short supply. With only four people in their organization, Maestri d’Italia did not have the bandwidth to find another candidate on their own before the new plant was built.

Our Solution:

Undaunted by these challenges (and the looming holiday season), we recommended a contingency recruiting option to Maestri d’Italia.

We launched their search on 11/2/17, focusing on talent local to their expansion site. To make the position attractive to potential candidates, we positioned the job as an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a rapidly growing startup that was backed by a very large parent company in Italy.

Results:

Kinsa sourced the candidate ultimately selected to fill this role. While our average time-to-fill is 60 to 65 days, our candidate accepted Maestri d’Italia’s offer just 47 days from the time we launched our search!

Key Metrics:

  • Kinsa identified and presented 4 candidates for consideration within 8 business days, which led to two initial interviews (but no offer). We submitted an additional 3 candidates the week of 11/9.
  • The winning candidate’s resume was sent on 12/5. Our client conducted a phone interview with him on 12/8 and then interviewed him, as well as one of the initial candidates we referred, in-person on 12/13.
  • The offer was made by the client 6 1/2 weeks after we initiated our search.
  • Our candidate accepted the offer less than 7 weeks after launch.
  • Our candidate advanced from resume submittal to offer acceptance in just 15 days!
