Answer The Question “Tell Me About Yourself” Like a Pro
Date: Thursday, April 9th

Description: Most interviews start with the question “Tell me about yourself”, but too often the answer given eliminates the job seeker from consideration. This is the first impression you will give to the interviewer and need to practice your response. You need to become comfortable and confident in your answer. During this session, we will address the three following topics:
- What employers look for in your answer
- How to effectively format your response
- Great follow up responses

Informational Interviews Can Lead to Job Offers
Date: Tuesday, April 14th
Time: 2:00 pm EST (11:00 am PST, 12:00 pm MST, 1:00 pm CST)
Description: Your job as a job seeker is to schedule as many interviews as possible. I often compare a job search to “dating.” If you don’t date, you won’t get married. If you don’t schedule interviews, you won’t get a job offer. If you’ve not been successful scheduling job interviews, it’s wise to schedule informational interviews which can lead to job offers if conducting properly. During this session, we will discuss the following:
- What could be sabotaging your job search efforts
- The who, what, when, where and why of informational interviews
- Why information interviews can differentiate you from your competition
Set a goal today, to schedule at least one informational interview every week, and watch the momentum that builds in your job search!
Is your Self Talk Helping Or Hurting Your Job Search?

Description: We all talk to ourselves and that’s okay; but what are you saying? Too often our self-talk is more prevalent when we don’t like what we’ve just said or done! The reality is whether you think you CAN do something or think you CAN’T – you’re 100% right! That’s why your self-talk will either help or hinder your job search, the choice is yours! During this session, we will discuss the following four areas:
- Your self-esteem cycle
- A self-talk assessment
- Self-esteem evaluation
- How to improve your self-talk and your RESULTS!
Bottom line: When you talk to yourself – say NICE things. This session will help you improve the results you will enjoy in your job search.
