In addition, many of the automated systems will screen out resumes or CV’s that don’t list current experience. These two obstacles can prevent you from scheduling interviews. - How to handle other red flags on your resume or CV

How to Handle the Five Types of Interviewers

Description: You can’t control who will conduct your interview, but you can be prepared for any type of interviewer and question. Just as you research the company and practice your answers you should also familiarize yourself with the different types of interviewers. During this call we will address:
- Five types of interviewers
- How to handle each of the five types
- How to position yourself better than your competition

What to Do When Networking Efforts Are Not Working
Date: Wednesday, January 18th

Description: You continue to hear that networking is the best ways to find a new job, but what do you do if networking is not working in your search? You’ve reached out to friends, neighbors, family members, and past coworkers, but you’re not receiving any referrals. You’re passing out resumes or CV’s at networking events with no results. During this session, we will address the following:
- What you need to change
- How to conduct a gap analysis
- New networking targets
- Be comfortable with networking

Follow Up Is Critical

Description: There is often a fine line between effectively following up and being perceived as a nuisance by hiring authorities. You don’t want to be lost in the shuffle of resumes or CV’s. However, if you become a source of irritation, you will be eliminated from consideration. During this session, we will discuss the following topics:
- Who to follow up with
- What your follow up says to a potential employer
- When you should follow up
- How time kills deals
