Food Safety/ Quality Assurance Director.   Located in Kansas open to local and remote/telecommute positions with up to 75% travel.   20 years of snack food, confectionary and bakery manufacturing experience.

A hands-on leader with extensive experience implementing food safety and quality assurance programs.    Competencies Regulatory Compliance, Quality Assurance, and auditing. Comprehensive hands-on knowledge of, Crisis and Risk Management, Food Safety and Quality Assurance program development, and Recalls. Enjoys coaching a professional team, resulting in a world class food safety culture to help protect and grow a company’s brands.

•Experience managing multiple sites.
•Transformed immature food safety program and culture into a SQF excellent rated food safety program.
•Implemented CAPA program to yield 10% reduction in food safety and quality complaints from consumers.
•Developed internal and external supplier audit program.
•Experience with 3rd party and Regulatory audits.
•EDUCATION: Bachelor’s in Biology
•PCQI, SQF Practitioner, Internal Auditor Certification, Food Defense Coordinator, HACCP and Nutrition Labeling Certification

LOCATION PREFERENCE(S): Kansas but open to telecommute/remote work with up to 75% travel.
