Enthusiastic person who enjoys working in collaborative environments with over 20 years of safety, loss control and risk management experience. Expertise lies in developing and implementing risk management programs across multiple industries and lines of coverage.  With a focus on continuous improvement, promote collaboration and teamwork for success.  Interacted at all levels of management and successfully represented companies outside of the organization.

Managing a safety program include as consultant and managing loss sensitive programs (Captive, Self-insured and High Deductible).  Working within the team concept my experience lies in work site analysis, hazard prevention & control, and safety & health training. This includes the evaluation of team interaction, hazard specific controls, program elements and regulatory compliance.  I also have experience in claims management to support the safety program including litigation defense.  As safety consultant, I also coordinate with claim management team members to provide integrated and comprehensive services for employee health care management and liability defense.

As a consultant, I have built and managed safety programs for clients in various industries. I have served as Safety & Risk Manager for a large manufacturing company with a business portfolio ranging from food and apparel to retail and transportation.  I am able to step in to a dynamic environment and lead teams.  As a safety professional, I have taken my college’s motto to heart, “Learn how to learn;” so in addition to OSHA’s General and Construction Outreach Trainer certifications I have achieved various fleet & product liability certifications.  I am prepared to step in to an environment and see things in a different prospective; looking for solutions to help the team.

My background and experience aligns as Risk or Safety Manager, food safety or training positions.  I would like to meet with a company who is in need of a safety professional with my experience and success.  My background, collectively, allows me to be flexible to support other departments and teams as part of managing a company’s overall safety program.

I have spent a lot of time developing and implementing training programs, including in collaboration with HR Teams.  In some cases these programs lead to supervisor development programs.

In addition to training I have been involved in:

– Acquisition and Divestiture team

– Developing Claim and Loss Control Service Service instructions, as an insured, to direct insurance carrier teams

– Screen and establish legal team for defensive business strategy; WC and liability

– Managed in multiple U.S. venue

– While at QBE, Nationwide and Westfield I handled the dynamic service accounts; largest, most complex and challenging

Currently based in Phoenix, AZ and looking to work and travel from this location.  Full time or as an industry consultant.
